I feel Empty!

I have been wanting to write this blog since last week...specially over the weekend. Well that was the plan! Another plan was hosting a party at home on Saturday...(that too on a working Saturday). Well...the party was super fun! We had my friends, my husband's friends and our common friends...;) (that's an inside joke..haha).

Sunday was lazy lazy...Then came Monday...For me, Mondays are always BLAH! But this time, I tried to make the most out of it...I had some ME time...so I watched a movie...did my nails...cooked dinner (that does not qualify as part of my ME time stuff but still..)...and I slept well.

Anyways, by now we have established the fact that I am lazy and I love my ME Time. Now lets get back to the serious stuff. This blog is about the empties challenge! 

Last to last month, I challenged myself to first finish off the products I have and then buy new ones! So I have touched rock bottom on these 5 products and thought of sharing my reviews with you guys!

First one to go was this Bright Crystal perfume by Versace. This is my favourite perfume...I have bought it twice and now that it's over, I want to repurchase. 

What's so special about this perfume..you ask? 

Well, it has a fresh, sensual blend of refreshing chilled yuzu and pomegranate mingled with soothing blossoms of peony, magnolia and lotus flower, warmed with notes of musk and amber. WOW..Those are a lot of words! I did some research before buying the second bottle and I saved this for whoever would ask whats so special about this particular perfume? 

In simple words, I love floral scents...I love to smell fresh flowers...it just makes me happy. This perfume is soft and soothing...its not very strong yet the staying power is pretty good. I use it in the morning while getting ready and only need to reapply around evening.

Second one to go is this Scrub Your Nose In It from Soap & Glory. I bought it last year when I was in Dubai. There was a Buy One Get One sale at Boots so I bought couple of products from Soap & Glory. Every blogger out there goes gaga and raves about Soap & Glory...so obviously I had to try it out.

This Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It facial scrub is a gentle yet effective facial scrub. It claims to unblock pores without causing damage to the skin. If you have Acne Prone skin, then you must try it out.

Another thing I love about this scrub is that it does not have harsh and irritating chemical exfoliants which harm the skin. You just have to apply a small amount on a damp face and work it out slowly and gently. It has a nice mint(y) fragrance. I read somewhere, you can also use it a mask!! I tried it once just on my nose and the results were amazing. Most of the whiteheads were gone!

Since we are talking about Scrubs, I don't want to miss out on the body scrubs. The one I emptied is this Wild Argan Oil Rough Scrub from The Body Shop. I was looking for a body scrub which is not too drying on my skin and this was it! The granules are not very rough...did not abrade my skin (like I thought), it scrubbed away the dead skin and the argan oil nourished my skin. At the end, I was felt with a soft, smooth, clean skin. 

Next on the list is this Facial Tonic Mist Pure Rosewater from Forest Essentials. I have stressed enough on this product on my blog on Facial Mists! The Rosewater helps in cooling, soothing and moisturising the skin. I have used this mist alone on my face, mixed it with my face scrubs / face packs and loved it everytime.

I have also been using it before applying my Light Hydrating Facial Gel Pure Rosewater again from Forest Essentials. I like using this combo during summer season. Since it is in Gel form, the consistency is very light and gets absorbed very easily, smells heavenly of rose water but for a moisturiser it is not a holy grail product..I always feel like something is missing...My skin feels kind of dry even after using it. I am glad I emptied this one so I can try the La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Lagare moisturiser I bought recently. 

My overall ratings for these emptied products:

1. Bright Crystal Versace - 5/5....It is a must buy for me!

2. Soap & Glory Scrub Your Nose In It - 4/5....I would love to repurchase this one but sadly I have not been able to find their store or find it online. So I am deducting 1 point for this reason.

3. Wild Argan Oil Rough Scrub from The Body Shop - 4/5...I will repurchase during Winter season. 

4. Facial Tonic Mist Pure Rosewater from Forest Essentials - 5/5..I will repurchase. 

5. Light Hydrating Facial Gel Pure Rosewater from Forest Essentials - 3/5. I will not repurchase this one. It did nothing special for my skin.
