KIKO MILANO CC CREAM CUSHION COMPACT SYSTEM REVIEW

Let's just say that I am lazy at getting ready...specially during winter season! When it comes to makeup, I prefer using the products that are quick to apply and work efficiently throughout the day (as well as night). Talking about Cushion Foundations, this technique originated in Korea (not surprising at all) and has been adopted all over the world by makeup gurus.

I have just emptied the Kikomilano CC Cream Cushion - it is the first in my collection of Cushion Foundations! Read on for the full review!

Lets talk about the packaging
It comes with a ravishing silver packaging, a clean big mirror and a sponge. The lid helps to lock the product and doesn't leak or dry out. Overall the packaging is to die for!

Product Description by KikoMilano
Colour perfecting foundation with SPF 25 for a radiant complexion and even looking skin. The light liquid foundation is quickly absorbed and blends with the skin to conceal discolouration and imperfections.

The unique sponge, which is soaked in the product, easily applies the perfect formula. The porous sponge releases small particles of product that adheres to the skin, leaving it softer, smoother and more even looking.

Product Yay or Nay?
The first time I applied it on my skin, it felt like silk. The application is so effortless that I can do it in my sleep. The thing that would  wake me up is the funny smell. Literally, it has a really funny smell, like that of wet paint or something of the sought. Don't get me wrong, I am used to funny smelling makeup products (it reminds me of M.A.C.Foundations). Anyway, irrespective of how this smells, the product does the job of perfect application.

The finish is kind of matte and not glowing. I did notice that after a while, it begins to dry on my skin, specially around my nose and chin area (P.S. - I don't use a Face Primer everyday). When you apply a Face Primer, then it does a better job of sticking around where it should.

Talking about the Pigmentation - if you are blessed with clear skin with no blemishes - whatsoever - then you will love this product to the moon and back! But I belong to the other half of women with average looking skin so I had problems with the pigmentation and consistency. CC means Colour Correcting - it should help me hide the dark spots around my mouth and the redness on my chin and the small pimples on my chin....but no!!! It did absolutely nothing. You may want to apply a corrector to combat any redness and a concealer to fade away the pimples.

Pros
1. Easy application.
2. Leake-proof Packaging.
3. Good colour selection - 26 shades to be precise.
4. Dermatoligcally tested, Non comedogenic, Paraben free.

Cons
1. Doesnot colour correct.
2. Quite expensive for everyday use.
3. Best before is 6 months.

My Take
I think it is an average product. It helps give an easy application and feels natural on the skin for upto 5 hours. But it doesn't fit the description at all. I mean, the name itself says CC and yet it does nothing to colour correct. During the days when I had dry skin, it became flaky.

If you have a problem free skin, do go for it. But don't forget about the smell.

The packaging is very travel friendly though! For me, that's the best thing about the product.

The almost complete look - Minus the concealer!

Will I repurchase?
No! There are many fish in the sea...

Have you tried any Cushion Foundation? Do let me know...

Love & Luck,

Kanica!
